What are Swedish Sponge Cloths made of?
Our sponge cloths are produced using a patented process that blends cellulose, non-GMO unbleached cotton, and mirabilite, a natural mineral salt.
During production, the salt is washed out, leaving a porous material of 70% cellulose and 30% cotton — extremely absorbent, strong, and sustainable.
How absorbent are Purliearth Sponge Cloths?
They are extra absorbent and can soak up to 20 times their own weight in water. This makes them ideal for cleaning spills, wiping surfaces, and everyday household use.
Are the sponge cloths eco-friendly and compostable?
Absolutely. Both the cloths and their packaging are made from 100% renewable resources and are fully compostable. When your cloth reaches the end of its life cycle, you can compost it with your organic waste.
Can I wash and reuse the sponge cloths?
Yes! Purliearth Sponge Cloths are reusable, durable, and washable up to 300 times. They are tear-resistant and designed for long-term use.
What is the best way to care for my sponge cloth?
- Rinse well after each use
- Wring out excess water
- Lay flat to dry
- Wash in the dishwasher or washing machine at up to 190°F / 88°C
- Do not use bleach or chlorine products
- Air dry only (do not tumble dry)
